Pianoteq is an exceptional virtual instrument that has garnered numerous accolades for its ability to replicate a wide range of instruments, including pianos, electric pianos, harpsichords, vibraphones, guitars, and steel drums. What sets Pianoteq apart is its reliance on physical modeling rather than recorded sounds. By applying the principles of physics, Pianoteq calculates the vibration of strings and the way in which sound resonates through a wooden soundboard.

This unique approach allows Pianoteq to accurately recreate the playability and intricate nuances of real acoustic instruments, surpassing other virtual instrument options. Additionally, Pianoteq's file size is significantly smaller since it does not rely on samples, making it ideal for iOS devices.

Pianoteq has received official authorization from several renowned brands, such as Steinway, C.Bechstein, Petrof, Steingraeber, Grotrian, Blüthner, and Hohner. These brands have attested to the faithful replication of their instruments within Pianoteq.

To use Pianoteq, simply connect a MIDI device to your iPad/iPhone, launch the application, and start playing. Alternatively, you can incorporate Pianoteq as a plugin within various Audio Unit host applications like GarageBand, AUM, Cubasis, Camelot, and more.

It's important to note that while all instruments can be tested in demo mode (with a few disabled keys), you will need to purchase a Pianoteq STAGE license or link it to an existing user account on our website to unlock the full functionality. Licenses purchased through the App Store grant access to Pianoteq across other platforms supported by our software (macOS, Windows, Linux).
